Grotesque Peak Village
The mountains advance upon you and quickly retreat as you travel down the river. The beauty of these towering peaks is something that has inspired artists and writers for centuries.
This area is called Grotesque Peak Village . It is said that this area was used as a training ground for the Taiping (Peace) Revolt Army. This group organized a revolt against the Qing Dynasty Government in the period 1851-1864.They were revolt against because they believed that they were being mistreated by the rulers of the day.
