Alexander's Feedback on 13-Day China Tour

Our drivers in all four cities we visited were courteous, professional, and attentive to our needs, and their cars comfortable and clean. We never had any dangerous situations and felt safe despite difficult driving conditions in many places.

Dear Ruby, we just returned home. We are completely satisfied with the services of China Highlights that exceeded our expectations. Let me be more specific about our experience.

Beijing:

First, we'd like to stress the exceptional services of our guide Icy, who arranged everything perfectly well and gave us a great introduction to Chinese culture and everyday life. Also, her associate Percy did much more than just pushed my wheelchair. His English and knowledge of history and culture are very good, and he served as the second tour guide when Icy took Irene to places that I could not access.

Hotel Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing was overbooked, and we were upgraded to the neighboring Hotel Regent. This is perhaps the best 5 star hotel in which we've ever stayed. Impeccable services, room, location, breakfast, everything.

All our activities were very well planned. In addition, our guide Icy suggested an acrobatic show, which was very good. She also proposed to have our first lunch at a very authentic Chinese place 'The King of Noodle' with lots of interesting dishes on the menu. On day 3, we had lunch at a large restaurant in the building of cloisonne factory and shops. The restaurant is not accessible (high second floor), food was not good, and service bad. We understand that this restaurant is convenient for large groups who shop at the factory and that it is difficult to find any other restaurants on the way from Badaling Great Wall to Changling Tomb. Probably you should consider some of the places near Badaling for people like us. Jardine restaurant was excellent. Great food and much better service than in other restaurants.

Our tour guide in Xian David was fluent in English and knowledgeable. He proposed an interesting Tang dynasty show.

Jenny in Guilin took us to a night boat ride on the lake, it was very good. She was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to all our needs. We liked the city very much, in part because of her enthusiasm.

Lucy in Shanghai made our visit especially efficient. Her recommendations of places to visit in addition to our itinerary, as well as restaurants, were always very good.
