Longsheng Terraced Field

Today, we will drive 2 hours to Longsheng which is famous for its Terraced Rice fields and the ethnic group culture and customs. Zhuang and Yao minority people who live in Longsheng have cultivated the Terraced Field since the Yuan Dynasty and make good use of the fields by using a fascinating irrigation system. The fields wind from foot of the mountain to the summit. Each season of the year provides a different yet spectacular display. Lunch is arranged in a local restaurant. Then visit the Zhuang and Yao minority villages which feature traditional wooden house built without using nails.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Mopanshan pier to board the Li River to Yangshuo. The 83 kilometers Li River course winds like a green ribbon, through hills, verdant bamboo forests and local villages. A simple lunch is provided by the cruise company on board. You will arrive in Yangshuo in the early afternoon and after checking into your hotel go to a Chinese Cookery Class. Your cookery class starts at a local market where you could choose the ingredients. Under teacher’s instructions, you could learn how to cook a Chinese dish from the chopping, to seasoning and then cooking. Dinner is at your arrangements. Yangshuo's West Street is full of restaurants featuring different flavors waiting for you to explore.

Yangshuo Countryside Cycling

Today's plan is a bike ride around Yangshuo's local villages to enjoy the natural scenery and experience the local lifestyle. A family visit is included. After lunch in a local restaurant, the guide will escort you to Guilin airport and you will fly to the next city – Shanghai.

Today is a full day visit to Shanghai's highlights and our first stop is ancient Yuyuan Garden which is Southern Chinese classic garden design. The scale is smaller than the royal summer palace in Beijing, however, the design and the architecture is quaint and elegant. Stroll along the Bund for a view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower which the symbol of Shanghai. Then go to the top of the tower and the whole city stand before you. Lunch is at a great local restaurant which features Shanghai local dishes, south China dishes and dim sum. South China is rich in silk and you will have the chance to visit a silk workshop. Then continue our visit to Shanghai's old alleys which are called as "Nongtang". Visit local people's house and get an insight into the life of Shanghainese. Make you own arrangements for dinner. Take a stroll along Nanjing Road, it an exciting place to shop or just observe.

After breakfast, we will take you to French concession region, A great area to explore, from the old European buildings in shady avenues to the cafes and restaurants and up market shopping area of Huaihu Lu, then head to Xintiandi is located downtown nestled between the towering skyscrapers; it is one of the busiest urban tourist attractions and imbued with the city's historical and cultural legacies. Shanghai Xintiandi's Shikumen building was created by converting residential blocks into a multifunctional dining, retail and entertainment center flowing with restaurants, boutiques, cafes and bars of an international standard. Lunch will arrange at a local restaurant to taste the authentic local food, then we will take you to Shanghai airport after lunch. Your Beijing guide will meet you at the airport upon arrival.

Forbidden City

Your memorable Beijing tour starts today. You will first visit the world's largest city square – Tiananmen Square, surrounded by many of China's most important buildings including The Great Hall of the people, the Monument to the People's Heroes, Chairman Mao's Mausoleum, China National Museum, Zhongshan Park and the Forbidden City which is just across the street. The Imperial complex – the Forbidden City is next. It is well preserved and consists of thousands of halls, gates, gardens, courtyards, quarters and pavilions and provides a fascinating look at Chinese imperial life. Lunch is at a great local restaurant nearby. Continue your tour to visit the Summer Palace in the afternoon. The Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden still in existence and blends classical Chinese landscape design and natural beauty. A visit to a pearl store is included.

Mutianyu Great Wall

After breakfast as we will climb the Great Wall. You will visit Mutianyu section which is less-crowded than the Badaling section, but there is no sacrifice in views. A cable car is available to help visitors up and down. Lunch is at a local restaurant not far away from Mutianyu Great Wall. You will also have the chance to see how high quality Chinese Cloisonne is made at a Cloisonne Factory. Drive back to city and you will visit the Temple of Heaven. Different from the Forbidden City it is mainly in red and yellow which represents the supreme power of royal family, the buildings at the Temple of Heaven are red and blue because it was the place where the Emperors prayed for a good harvest each year.

Sitting on Rickshaw

This morning, you will visit a Hutong area. Hutongs the old courtyard houses where locals still live. Hop on a rickshaw to ride through the narrow alleys. A family visit is included and you can get an insight into the layout of a typical courtyard and local resident's life. You also have the chance to learn Chinese paper cut. Lunch is at a great local restaurant. In the afternoon, we head to Beijing Olympic Green to see the venues where Beijing Olympic were held. Bid farewell to Beijing and board on your flight to Guilin.
