Tour Details

Day 1Guilin Arrival

Our guide and drive will meet you at airport and pick you up to hotel. After have a short rest, we head to Yao Mountain. Take the chair lift to the top of the mountain can get bird views of the city. Dinner is optional for customers. Our guide can recommend some local restaurant to you if your group wishes to taste Guilin's local fare.

Day 2Guilin

Elephant Trunk Hill

Today we will spend whole day in Guilin city going to its most famous scenic spots. First we will visit Reed Flute Cave. It offers a magic land of stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone curtains, birds, plants and animals in fantastic shapes and colors. Lunch is at local Restaurant. Seven Stars Park is second stop of today's activities. The park takes its name from Seven Star Hill which consists of seven peaks that are said to resemble the star pattern of the Big Dipper) constellation. We will continue our trip to Fubo Hill. Because of its location and height, Fubo Hill can tame the waves and stop the surging waters which then forms whirlpools. The last attraction of the day is Elephant Trunk Hill which is the symbol of Guilin and got its name because its shape resembles an elephant with its trunk drinking form the Li River.

Day 3Guilin

Li River Cruise

After have a breakfast at the hotel, we will take a cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo along Li River. The graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river are all part of the experience. When the cruise arrives at Yangshuo, continue to experience the beauty of Yangshuo with a biking tour. Bike along the country roads, pass the paddy field and orchards that surround the famous mountains will give a fascinating insight into life in rural China. Visit a local family to experience real country life. Drive back to Guilin at the end of the day.

Day 4Guilin Departure

Jiuwu

Today’s adventure is to visit Jiangtou Village. The village is 32km from Guilin city and has about 620 houses built in Ming and Qing dynasties. Jiangtou Village is regarded as one of seven most valuable ancient villages in China. According to history, most of residents are descendants of Zhou Dunyi, a famous Neo-Confucianism scholar from the Northern Song Dynasty. People in the village show the highest respect to education. There were more that 160 successful candidates for the imperial examinations during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Return to Guilin city and have lunch at local Restaurant. The tour ends when our guide takes you to airport for your next destination.

Oil tea, Chinese name it Youcha, is a feature food of Yao Minority in Guilin, and now popular among locals, it can remove the body moisture and good for prevent rheumatism in the humid mountain area, on the way up to the terrace field, our guide will take you to visit a local Yao lady’s family, she will show us how to make oil tea and treat us lunch there.

Yangshuo Chinese Cookery Class

This class begins at the local market where ingredients for the dishes are chosen by students. Back at a covered, rooftop patio-classroom, you have an opportunity to learn three dishes and enjoy the fruits of your labor. You can choose other favorite dishes at the lunch.

Explore Daxu Ancient Town with Local Scholar

Daxu ancient town, which has been a glory trade market in the past decade, it owns the biggest water transportation hub in Guilin. We invited a local scholar to show you around, give a brief lecture of the interesting story behind the town, visit the last and the only Chinese traditional pharmacy in town that still using traditional way for treatment! Also you get a chance to visit one of the local families and talk to the locals.

Photography on Li River Sunset and Local Fisherman

This tour deserve to the photographer, for sunset on Li River with karsts mountain as background, a local fisherman seating on his bamboo boat with his cormorant birds, which are the fisherman’s pet and good at catching fish in the river.
