According to the latest information from the State Administration of Heritage and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of March 7, 2014, there are six more ancient towns (villages) in Guilin, and nine in total in the Guangxi Province, in the sixth batch of Chinese Historical and Cultural Ancient Towns (Villages).

These ancient towns and villages in Guilin include Jieshou Town in Xing’an County, Gongcheng Town in Gongcheng County, Jiuxian Village in Baisha Town in Yangshuo County, Jiangtou Village in Qingshitan Town in Lingchuan County, Bangshang Village in Mochuan Town in Xing’an County, and Yueling Village in Wenshi Town in Guanyang County.

In this batch, there are 16 towns and villages belonging to Chinese Historical and Cultural Ancient Towns (Villages). In total, 71 Chinese historical and cultural ancient towns and 107 ancient villages are now on the list of Chinese Historical and Cultural Ancient Towns (Villages).
