Guilin City Transport
Taxi's or bike rental are a convenient ways for self guides tourists to see Guilin. The city area is comparably small and it is therefore an inexpensive and easy to see the cities attractions. Taxi’s have a CNY7 flagfall and the extra charges based on distance.
Renting a bike in your hotel or on the street and riding around the city or along the Li River like a local could be a great experience. Be careful however, local drivers do not give way to cyclists.
Tips:
1. The popular city sight seeing spots - Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill, and Silk Brocade Hill are all situated on the River and are easy to find for the city.
2. Cycling around the Yangshuo countryside is a very popular outdoor activity. Experience China’s traditional rural life and see working water buffalo in the paddy fields.
