Restaurants with Good Views in Guilin

Guilin is located in the midst of the stunning Karst landscape and blessed with two beautiful Rivers and four lakes - (Li River, Taohua River, Mulong Lake, Rong Lake, Shan Lake and Gui Lake).The natural sights make having a meal in a beautiful setting quite easy. Several restaurants have great positions which display aspects of Guilin’s beauty.

No.1 Little Italian 唐纳德

Located on Binjiang Road it has become popular because it serves good western food and has a very pleasant location. Tree-lined Binjiang Road is the most beautiful road in the city and very near Jiefang Bridge over the Li River.

The eatery specializes in pizza and steak. A table outside is available for 3-4 people to enjoy the riverside view and watch the locals. Summers nights are an especially good time to enjoy the lights which light the bridge and the riverside.

NO.2 Nissi Station 尼西驿站

Nissi Station is very close to Little Italian and they share the same riverside and street view. The difference is that Nissi has good coffee and home-made cakes and breads. There is 1 table outside from which customers can enjoy nightscape and observe the locals.

The friendly staff speak English. Having a cup of coffee outside would be a nice way to spend 1/2 an hour and enjoy the environment.

NO.3 Café in Li River Waterfall Hotel漓江大瀑布酒店茶餐厅

Li River Waterfall Hotel in the city center attracts attention because of the man-made waterfall which cascades over the side of the building at 8:30 at night.

Café on the Floor 2 of the hotel is designed for customers to enjoy the waterfall while having café with friends or family.

NO. 4 Left Bank 左岸

Left Bank enjoys a good reputation for its location and food. French chef caters to many foreign guests but Chinese meals are also offered.

It is located in the most famous street in Guilin—Zhengyang Pedestrian Street and on the 2 Floor of Zhengyang Gymnasium. There is a part of the restaurant open in the air with beautifully setting.

NO.5 Tianfulou Sushihuisuo 添福楼素食会所

This vegetarian restaurant is situated in Mulong Lake Scenic Area and since opening in 2012 has become popular for customers wanting vegetarian cuisine.

The restaurant has two buildings and has a buffet at 50 Yuan/person as a well as a-la-cart. The restaurant is no smoking and alcohol is served. Customers can sit beside the window to enjoy the lake view in really tranquil environment. It has one of the best views in the city.

NO.6 Wangjianglou Restaurant 望江楼

Wangjianglou is a true local restaurant located in Wayao which is a large residential area. The restaurant is 2-stories and near the Li River. When having meal on the 2 Floor, customers can enjoy the serene river view. The restaurant name, Wang jiang lou, means the building facing the river. The restaurant is specialty and most popular dish is Whole Roast Lamb. Get there early for a seat with good view.

NO.7 Dining Hall with lake view at Ronghu Hotel 榕湖楼餐厅湖景厅

Ronghu Hotel was one of the earliest hotels built for receiving important leaders from China and foreign countries. Located along the west side of Rong Lake, it is a 4-star hotel.

There are 4 dining halls catering to different needs. Ronghulou Dining Hall on the 6th Floor of Building 5 and has 10 rooms. The lake view (Hujing Hall) is especially popular as it overlooks Rong Lake. It serves different cuisines from across the country.

NO.8 Coffee Time at the White House 白公馆

The White House is a new hotel in Rong Lake Scenic Area which is decorated in Old Shanghai style. It is located near the residence of Bai Chongxi who was a famous general during the period of the Republic of China. Bai in Chinese refers to white and thus the hotel takes its name as White House.

The 1st Floor offers western food and freshly ground coffee. There are seats available in the corridor outside the hall which is called The Waterside Pavilion along the Lake, providing a stunning lake view. Chinese food and buffet are also available.
