Tour Details
Stretching 43.5 kilometers and winding past 20 charming villages, the Yulong River is the longest tributary of the Li River. Its shallow, crystal-clear waters allow visitors to see straight to the riverbed in many sections—a rare and beautiful sight.
The best way to experience the Yulong River is by bamboo raft. Sitting just above the water, you can reach down and touch the river’s surface, making you feel as though you’ve become part of the landscape itself.
To add a touch of excitement to the peaceful ride, 28 weirs have been built along the river. As each raft approaches a weir, it slides down to the lower level at a surprisingly quick speed—brief moments of thrill that contrast with the overall tranquility of the journey. It’s not uncommon to hear laughter and a few delighted screams echoing through the valley.

Yulong Bridge
Your cycling adventure begins at Yulong Bridge, originally built in 1412 AD. This historic bridge is one of Yangshuo’s most iconic landmarks. Though it has been rebuilt several times over the centuries, its ancient charm remains intact, allowing visitors to soak up its rich history. It’s also one of the best vantage points to admire the serene beauty of the Yulong River.
Yulong Village
The bridge is part of Yulong Village, which was also established in 1412 AD. The village is famous for its centuries-old houses—many with over 300 years of history. As you cycle through, you’ll see well-preserved architecture that tells the story of the area’s cultural heritage.
Yangshuo County
The final leg takes you from Yulong Village to Yangshuo County. After your ride, we recommend a relaxing stroll along the lively West Street, known for its mix of local shops, cafés, and street performances.
